Every year, 20,000 tons of trash enter D.C’s forgotten river- the Anacostia. Subaru and its partner, United By Blue, will be combating the Anacostia River’s trash problem with a river cleanup on Saturday, July 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. Volunteers will be supplied with free breakfast, lunch, bags, gloves, supplies, bug spray, and sunscreen; they just need to show up with helpful hands. Volunteers should meet at River Terrace Recreation Center located at Anacostia Ave NE in DC. Sign up or learn more by visiting http://www.unitedbyblue.com/cleanup/washingtondc.
